My Contemplation Regarding the First Grading Period
My younger self will
always ask about random things, imagine how they work and how they originated,
and will always end up forgetting about it because I don’t have any idea
regarding the questions in my mind.
Internet is one of
those things I kept on wondering about. Fortunately, it was one of our first
lessons in ICT. I learned how it works, who invented it, and what
are its uses. Actually, you are using it right now, maybe for entertainment, aren’t you?
Anyways, I await the
opportunity to attain more knowledge in the next grading period. New challenges
and tasks, more lessons stacked in my little mind. Here I am, hoping for the
better, moving on to the next chapter.

Why do We Need to be Prepared?
Filipinos should be ready for
disasters. Our country lies on the Pacific Ring of Fire which causes large
numbers of earthquakes and volcanic eruptions we can’t avoid. We cannot control
the disasters but at some point, we can lessen its effect to our beloved
nation.
Philippine government wants everybody
to be prepared for destructive disasters that might hit our country, that’s why
there is a “National Disaster Resilience Month”. This program has a theme,
“Kahandaan sa Sakuna’t Peligro Para sa Tunay na Pagbabago”. It advocates
preparedness for disasters to Filipinos for them to be aware of the damage and
loss they can get when a disaster comes. It means that we should change our
habits that doesn’t contribute in being ready for catastrophes. Being ready and
prepared brings so much effect when different kinds of disasters strike our
country. It makes us know what to do before, during, and after the disaster.
This program helps everyone to lessen the damages brought by earthquakes,
volcanic eruptions, floods, tsunami, and other disasters.
Everyone should be aware that anything
could happen anytime and anywhere so we should be prepared and ready whenever
nature brings us harm. Let's start the change from within ourselves, let's be
disciplined, for us to save each other from the threat of nature.

Nutrified Filipinos, Soon
The nutrition of every human being is essential. Our government wants everyone to be healthy. In this case, they made a program to celebrate Nutrition Month.

Every year, the Department of Health creates a theme for the Nutrition Month. This year, it is "Nutrition Month Celebration: Kumain ng Wasto at Maging Aktibo, Push Natin ‘To!". This helps to encourage and make everyone remember to eat healthy and nutritious foods, take good care of our health, and be active in our everyday lives.
Being one of the countries that has the most number of malnourished children, the government made this celebration take part in schools, too.
There are feeding programs held and activities to showcase the students’ creativity in making nutritious foods for their schoolmates and teachers. This way, students not just get to eat healthy foods but also, they can show their talent to everyone.
Always
remember, being healthy is one of the keys to be a successful person. Let's not
disappoint ourselves and start living a healthy life.
Being Ready for an Earthquake
Every year, National Simultaneous
Earthquake Drill is done by schools and government offices for the sake of
earthquake preparedness. No one knows when an earthquake will strike so
authorities conduct programs like these to make people aware and for everyone
to know what and what not to do during an earthquake.
School staffs and government authorities are expected to lead the simultaneous earthquake drill. Practices on what to do to save one’s life will be done on this day. Everyone expect that people will take this seriously because earthquake is not a joke. But still, some students don’t see the importance of this program. Nonetheless, officials continuously teach everybody first aids and how to avoid accidents during an earthquake.
During this program, officials don’t
just teach how to be prepared but also on matters like fire accidents and other
relative incidents.
This earthquake drill helps a lot to every
human alive. It can save us during the dangerous earthquake that might strike
in our place. Earthquake is a big threat to our lives and environment so I hope
we will all learn something from this program and be aware on what to do when
an earthquake occurs.
Una Carta al Presidente
June 13, 2019
Mr. Rodrigo R. Duterte,
I would like you to know that your love for our country and your agreeable advocates are being admired by a student like me. Your leadership to your fellowmen is good even though some doesn’t like it. I also want to thank you for the laws implemented that brought development to our country specially the ones that focuses on our environment.
Despite the admiration I have
towards you as the Philippines’ president, I also want you to hear out my
dismays. First, the issues and problems of our country that have not been resolved
up to now, regarding that these issues are long overdue. One of these is
concerning the waste management in the nation. Second, China causing harm to
many Filipinos while doing their business in our territory. I am alarmed
because those Filipinos’ jobs are affected all because of these Chinese
invading the country. Third, the lack of justice to some persons killed despite
their innocence. This issue came from the Extra Judicial Killing for the
illegal drug users and pushers. Many are affected and in some ways, the
government can’t do something about it. I know many people have their own
disappointments regarding your actions having the highest position in our
country. But for now, these are my concerns.
Please know that I hope
for resolutions to these issues for the betterment of our country. I am willing
to give my support in your next steps as long as your objectives will bring
nothing but harm to the Philippines and our fellow Filipinos.
Sincerely,
Trisha Nicole S. Buenavista
Giving Back to the Heroes
Heroes of our
country has done so much for us to have freedom. Up to now, this freedom is
celebrated every year to remember their sacrifices and value their hardships to
claim the beloved Philippines’ freedom.
This year, I know that our country will do the same as how
we celebrate Independence Day. Little efforts are recognized not just in
government offices and public places but also in schools, establishments, and
even in our homes. Putting a small flag of our nation in our vehicles, house, and
other places shows our participation and appreciation in the said celebration.
Even in schools, students make a flag to represent themselves being united
towards this occasion.
For the 121ST celebration of Independence
Day, I look forward on Filipinos treating the occasion right, giving respect,
and appreciating what our ancestors did for us to live like what we do right
now.

The Person Behind the Blog
A petite, not so smart, not so pretty, and a religious girl. I currently live in Santa, Ilocos Sur. It was 15 years ago since I existed in this world. I can be childish most of the time but I still have deep perspective in life and principles which were a bit influenced by my parents.
My biggest dream is to
fulfill my dreams, that's the reason why I'm pursuing my studies and I know I
can do it because God is with me.
